Terms of service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the online store (the "Store") operated by the campaign of Forrest Via Satterfield, candidate for Alabama House District 21 ("the Campaign," "we," "us," or "our"). By using the Store or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Store.

1. Purchases are contributions

Every purchase from this Store is a contribution to the Campaign, not a commercial retail transaction, and is governed by the Alabama Fair Campaign Practices Act. Contributions are not tax deductible. See our Legal Notice for the full eligibility and disclosure terms, which are incorporated into these Terms.

2. Eligibility

By placing an order, you confirm that you:

•    are at least 18 years old;

•    are a U.S. citizen or lawfully admitted permanent resident (federal and state law prohibit contributions from foreign nationals);

•    are using your own funds, in your own name, and are not being reimbursed by anyone else; and

•    are contributing personal funds only — this store does not accept corporate, business, union, or other organizational funds (a Campaign policy choice; Alabama does not limit or prohibit corporate contributions).

We may decline or refund any order that does not meet these requirements.

3. Orders, pricing, and availability

We try to keep product descriptions, images, and prices accurate, but errors can occur. We reserve the right to correct errors, change prices, limit quantities, and refuse or cancel any order — including after it is placed — at our discretion. Items are made to order; availability is not guaranteed. If we cancel an order you have paid for, we will refund it in full.

4. Made-to-order products and returns

Products are printed on demand by our fulfillment partner. Returns and refunds are limited to defective, damaged, or misprinted items as described in our Return and Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.

5. Shipping

Shipping terms, timeframes, and destinations are described in our Shipping Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms. Title and risk of loss pass to you upon the carrier's delivery to the address you provide.

6. Intellectual property

The Campaign's name, logo, slogans, designs, text, and graphics are the property of the Campaign or its licensors and are protected by law. Your purchase of an item does not transfer any rights in these materials. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our designs, or use the Campaign's name or logo for any commercial or political purpose, without our written permission.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Store unlawfully, to interfere with its operation or security, to submit false information, or to use it to make a contribution on behalf of another person or from a prohibited source.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Store and its products are provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, except for the limited remedy stated in our Return and Refund Policy and any warranty that cannot be disclaimed under applicable law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Campaign and its volunteers, staff, and vendors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Store or any product. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the item giving rise to the claim.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Campaign and its volunteers, staff, and vendors from any claim arising out of your violation of these Terms or your misuse of the Store.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Madison County, Alabama.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted, and the "Effective Date" above will be updated. Your continued use of the Store after changes means you accept them.
